The volunteer recruitment process

The recruitment process for the European Games Kraków-Małopolska 2023 volunteer programme began with a two-stage procedure.

The first step saw individuals register on the volunteer website before successful applicants were then required to attend online interviews.

Around 8,000 volunteers will welcome guests at arrival desks in hotels and airports, help fans with disabilities, operate in sports zones and support organisers in areas such as distributing accreditation, media support, logistics, giving directions and the support of athletes, referees and national teams.

Volunteers must be aged 16 or over by June 1, 2023, with organisers insisting there is no such thing as "too old".

Fluent communication in English is required and volunteers must be available for at least eight days during the event volunteering period.
