George Pinner_July_7_July 7 - The selection of Richard Mantell and George Pinner to Team GB as reserve athletes for Britain's men's hockey team at the London 2012 Olympic Games has been announced by the British Olympic Association (BOA).

As reserves, they can be called upon to replace any of the men named in the 16 strong squad should any athlete be ruled out through injury or illness.

Mantell (pictured below, right), 30, from Reading has been a Team GB member previously, having competed at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.

He also scored twice in the 2009 EuroHockey Nations Championship final when England beat Germany 5-3 to win the European crown for the first time.

An experienced player, Mantell has made 164 international appearances since his debut in 2003.
