ioc show_your_best_08-12-11December 12 - The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has unveiled its "Show Your Best" campaign, which gives people across the world the chance to be part of a global Olympic television advertisement and win a trip to the London 2012 Olympic Games.

The campaign seeks to encourage people to create, share and discuss video footage which shows them at their best – whether it is performing a great sporting feat or creating a piece of art.

The footage could be included in an Olympic television advertisement alongside leading athletes, which will be broadcast globally and shown at venues for the London 2012 games.

Two entrants will win trips to London to watch the action live and monthly prizes are also on offer.

Timo Lumme, managing director of IOC Television and Marketing Services, said: "We wanted to create a campaign that would reach and engage young people – by building a correlation between 'Olympic best' and everyone's personal best.

"Not everyone can be an Olympic athlete, but everyone can strive to be their best at something.

"This campaign celebrates that effort."

Another television spot will show user generated content, chosen by a panel including Olympic athletes and be aired in the weeks leading up to the Games, and all footage can be seen on the "Show Your' Best" website.

Users can enter via the Olympic Facebook channel, on the IOC's YouTube channel and a Youku channel in China from January.
