Paris 2024 will also be the first Para-Taekwondo Games for these nations. The Solomon Islands had qualified for Tokyo 2020 but were unable to travel due to the global pandemic.

The athletes who qualified for the Paralympic Games in Honiara are: Solomon Jagiri (Solomon Islands, men's -63kg), Herea Loi (Papua New Guinea, men's -70kg), James Ingram Gegeu (Solomon Islands, men's +80kg), Jeminah Otoa (Solomon Islands, women's -52kg), Irene Mar (Fiji, women's -57kg), Junita Tonowane (Solomon Islands, women's -65kg), and Manega Tapari (Papua New Guinea, women's +65kg). 

"The Oceania Taekwondo Union is really proud to see Para-athletes from our region qualify for the Paris Paralympics - this is the first time in many years that we have so many Para athletes representing the Oceania region. We are committed to developing more Para-athletes in our region," said Denzil Ray of the Oceania Taekwondo Union.
