Another world champion in Sylvain André finished second in 31.458 while Jérémy Rencurel took bronze in 31.509.

After round 5 on Saturday was cancelled due to extreme weather, the hosts got the perfect result in round six.

However, the women's elite was won by Australian Saya Sakakibara, her second of the 2023 season.

The 24-year-old crossed the line of a very familiar track in 33.89.

She had trained in the track with partner and Frenchman Romain Mahieu.

"I think that this track isn't, like it's not a big track," Sakakibara said after the win.

"There are a lot of small jumps, and it is really important to be precise and making sure we get the down ramps well, and I think that because I spend six months here, it's so special that I can win on this track."

Zoé Claessens of Switzerland took silver thanks to an effort of 34.25 while the final podium spot was claimed by Tokyo 2020 bronze medallist Merel Smulders of The Netherlands in 24.94.

France got two more medals in the under-23 men's race but the gold this time belonged to Swiss rider Kip Stauffacher.

Stauffacher 31.40 for the tile followed by the French duo of Mateo Colsenet and Mathis Jacquet in 31.51 and 31.84, respectively.

Dutch women were strong in the under-23 category, securing a one-two.

Michelle Wissing got gold in 35.98 before compatriot Renske van Santvoort finished second in 36.28.

Aiko Gommers helped Belgium to the final podium spot clocking 37.98.
