The men's 3000m steeplechase saw Djibouti claim top spot after Mohamed Ismail Ibrahim finished in 8:55.36.

The women's long jump gold belonged to Christiane Koala Marthe of Burkina Faso, with a leap of 6.94m.

Moroccan Yousra Lajdoud took silver with 6.55 and bronze went to Veronique Kossendan Rey of Cameroon in 6.42.

The Para athletics events saw Morocco dominate the podium again as Youssra Karim took the F41 discus throw title among women with an effort of 35.65m.

Her compatriots Hayat El Garra and Ibtissam El Gaara won silver and bronze after throwing 29.78 and 26.47, respectively.

Zakariae Ez Zouhri of Morocco was the best athlete in the F42-46 and F61-64 javelin throw.

His effort of 57.92 was way superior to Democratic Republic of Congo man Gregoir Shukuru and Cameroonian Loic Wandji Ngono, who only managed 26.69 and 28.70 for the second and third spot.
