Defending champions Cuba and hosts Panama are among four unbeaten teams after two rounds of action at the World Baseball Softball Confederation Under-15 Baseball World Cup.

Cuba, seeking a third successive title, romped to a 9-0 win over Dominican Republic at the Estadio Rico Cedeño in Chitré.

Japan also made it two wins from two after thrashing The Netherlands 11-1 elsewhere in Group B, where all matches are taking place at the same venue.

Australia beat South Africa 16-6 to also gain their first win of the competition.

In Group A, Panama were made to work hard before winning a low scoring pitching battle with China, 2-1, at the Estadio Kenny Serracín, David.

They are now joint top of the group with United States, the world's top ranked nation, who beat Germany 10-0.

Chinese Taipei survived a shock before a 9-7 win over Brazil to gain their first victory of the tournament.

Unbeaten Cuba and Japan will lock horns tomorrow in Group B as round-robin action continues.
