Australia's Jessica Fox and Czech Republic's Vit Prindis both recorded their third Canoe Slalom World Cup wins of the season in Ivrea.

Twenty-three-year-old Fox cruised to victory in the women's C1 category at the Italian course, winning by a ten second margin.

The triple C1 world champion and two-time K1 Olympic medallist was timed at 100.83 seconds.

Austria's Viktoria Wolffhardt won silver on 111.57 with Czech paddler Tereza Fiserova coming home third in 115.70.

"I gave it everything," Fox said.

"I'm really thrilled with that run.

"I love this course, I have great memories in Ivrea, and to win again here is fantastic."

The victory for Prindis in the men's K1 was much tighter as he pipped American Michal Smolden by just 0.29 seconds.

He finished the course in 87.15 as Smolden was timed at 87.44

"I didn’t expect that this many times I would be on the top in the World Cups," Prindis said.

"I was hoping today that maybe I would make the final, and then maybe make the top three.

"The water is quite difficult, and we only had a few sessions before the races so that is not enough to be comfortable with the water."

Peter Kauzer won bronze for Slovenia in 89.31.

In the men's C2, victory today went to Slovakian duo Ladislav and Peter Skantar.

The cousins, the Rio 2016 Olympic champions, finished in 100.99.

Germany’s Robert Behling and Thomas Becker ended their run in 102.54 for silver as France's Matthieu Péché and Gauthier Klauss won bronze in 103.14.

Fox and Prindis have both extended their leads in the overall World Cup standings thanks for their victories.

Czech duo Jonas Kaspar and Marek Sindler still lead the C2 rankings.

The women's K1 and men's C1 finals will be held in Ivrea tomorrow.

The World Cup Final will be held in La Seu D’Urgell in Spain next weekend.
