Chantal Blaak will seek a successful defence of her Ronde van Drenthe crown when the International Cycling Union (UCI) Women's World Tour resumes tomorrow.

The Dutch rider overcame the challenge of a tricky cobbled finish to triumph on home roads last year.

She will be chasing a first win of the season as part of a strong Boels Dolmans team this time around.

Denmark's reigning world champiion Amalie Dideriksen will be among her team-mates.

But the highest profile home entrant is WM3's Marianne Vos.

The London 2012 Olympic champion is a three-time former winner between 2011 and 2013 but has not participated since.

Another leading Dutch rider will be Team Sunweb's Lucinda Brand, a winner at Omloop Het Nieuwsblad earlier this season.

World Tour series leader Elisa Longo Borghini is absent from the lineup.

Ronde van Drenthe has been part of the women's World Tour calendar since 2007.

This year's route will be 152 kilometres long, an increase of 14km on last year's event.
