August 5 - M&C Saatchi have won a £4 million ($6 million) contract from the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) to communicate the transport plans for London 2012, it was reported today.



The company, founded by brothers Maurice and Charles Saatchi, were chosen ahead of rival agencies Delaney Lund Knox Warren and Naked Communications, Marketing magazine reported today.

The agency’s main task will be to develop public-service campaigns in the run-up to the Games to inform commuters across London about transport developments and disruptions.

It is expected that they will launch their campaign next year with posters being displayed at Tube stations, television adverts on regional television and on-line updates.

The agency already handles the separate £6 million ($9 million) Transport for London creative account.
