In the women’s freeski slopestyle discipline the Frenchwoman, who took Big Air silver at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, topped the qualification standings with 94.00 points.

Slopestyle World Cup leader Johanne Killi of Norway took second place in qualifying with 90.75 points.

Third place in qualifying went to Mathilde Gremaud of Switzerland, the first freestyle skier to simultaneously hold Olympic and World Championship gold medals in slopestyle after winning in Bakuriani, with a score of 85.25 points.

Fourth place went to Ruby Star Andrews of New Zealand with 83.00 points with Sarah Hoefflin of Switzerland taking fifth with 80.50 points.

Bad weather during the Freestyle Skiing World Cup in Tignes last year meant the women’s competition was completed cancelled, but with a favourable forecast this time around and a revamped slopestyle course, it is all set up for an exciting women’s World Cup race, scheduled for Saturday (March 18).

Men’s qualification is due to take place tomorrow at the venue, before a men’s World Cup race is set to be held on March 18.
