LIV Golf has lost two more senior executives following the departures of chief communications officer Jonathan Grella and chief marketing officer Kerry Taylor.

According to the Wall Street Journal, neither decision was voluntary.

"As LIV begins our second year, we are grateful to the team that helped get us off the ground and launch such a successful start-up," LIV Golf said in statement.

"We have a group of hard-working, dedicated staffers and we understand from time to time personnel will move on or decide to pursue other endeavours.

"In all cases, we are appreciative and will continue to assemble a world-class team to guide us through our second year."

Grella, the former director of communications at the National Football League’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers, confirmed his exit from the Saudi-backed breakaway tour on his LinkedIn profile.

Kerry had previously served as executive vice-president of entertainment brands for Viacom CBS International.

The latest change in personnel follows the decision of Saudi Golf Federation chief executive Majed Al Sorour to step down has LIV Golf's managing director.

Matt Goodman, the President of franchises, and Atul Khosla, the chief operating officer, have also left LIV Golf in recent weeks.

Former chief commercial officer Sean Bratches left in May.

The controversial circuit has announced its schedule for 2023, which will feature 14 events.

LIV Golf has moved its season-ending tournament from Trump National Doral near Miami to Royal Greens Golf & Country Club in Jeddah on November 3 to 5.

The 2023 schedule is also due to include a new tournament at Orange County National in Orlando from March 31 until April 2.

"We received tremendous feedback globally from fans throughout our beta-test year, with one resounding theme: LIV Golf’s team format, innovations, and festival-like events are delivering a one-of-a-kind golf experience," said LIV Golf chief executive and commissioner Greg Norman.

"Last year helped lay the foundation for the future of golf at extraordinary courses that have hosted some of the world’s top competitions.

"LIV Golf’s schedule features fantastic venues and championship sites for our official league launch that will carry the sport into a new era."

Last month, LIV Golf officially announced a multiyear United States rights deal with the entertainment-focused CW Network, ending the tour’s lengthy search for a broadcaster in a key international market.

As part of the agreement, LIV Golf events will air live on the CW Network on Saturdays and Sundays and just on the CW App on Fridays.
