The International Sambo Federation (FIAS) has launched the "Education Guide for Sambists against Sport Manipulations", to teach all about how to make the sport fair and clean.

This publication was developed by CSCF Consulting, who offered the FIAS a large survey, of which 380 people took part.

Athletes, coaches, staff, referees and other officials from the sports community were involved in it.

More than 85 per cent of respondents admitted they had not had enough education or awareness about sports manipulation.

This document summarises the results of the survey, but also presents best practice data on various forms of possible manipulation of results in sambo and the wider sporting world.

It also details the harmful effects of manipulations and how to deal with such problems, including scenarios that occur in real life, and tactics of behaviour in them.

It addresses match-fixing, betting and stopping a "code of silence", encouraging whistleblowing.
