Austria's Eva Pinkelnig won the women's HS102 individual title at the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) Ski Jumping World Cup in Zao, Japan.

The home team, meanwhile, had little reason to celebrate after Pyeongchang 2018 individual bronze medallist Sara Takanashi was disqualified in the final for wearing a suit that was too big.

Pinkelnig, 34, put together efforts of 96 and 98.5 metres for an overall score of 230.1.

Germany’s Selina Freitag was 1.3 points behind after jumps of 98.5 and 98m had given her a total of 228.8 points and a career-best result.

Norwegian jumpers filled the next three places, with third place going to Anna Odine Stroem on 220.1 points, thanks to jumps of 95 and 96.5m.

Silje Opseth finished fourth, just 0.3 points behind Stroem, and Thea Minyan Bjoerseth achieved her best World Cup result in fifth.

Nika Kriznar was once again the best Slovenian in sixth place and was joined by teammate Nika Prevc in the top ten.

Between the two Slovenians, Germany's Katharina Althaus finished seventh.
