The Asociación Peruana de Mixed Martial Arts (APMMA) became the twenty-ninth approved member in Pan America, while the MMA Federation of Montenegro became the forty-fifth approved member in Europe.

APMMA has been looking for new avenues to develop the sport nationally and, prior to approval the body welcomed IMMAF director of development Andrew Moshanov "to establish an understanding of the National Federation and the principles of its operation."

National championships are already held in Peru and attract approximately 250 to 300 athletes.

The most recent edition was used as a selection process for the World Championships as Peru is looking to send a delegation for its debut in the IMMAF event in 2023.

Serbian capital Belgrade is due to host the upcoming Championships from February 11 to 18.

Alen Dzankic is set to serve as the newest President of the Montenegrin organisation, which has been active since September 2021.

Despite being founded just over a year ago, it claims that significant work has gone into growing the sport nationally over the last decade through other bodies.

Since its inception, the Federation "has ensured opportunities to develop the sport have been made available" including national championships and coaching courses.

Montenegro has also shown interest in competing at the World Championships next month and also expected to appear for the first time.
