Johannes Høsflot Klæbo continues to set Tour de Ski records, breaking his own highest number of race victories with his 15th career gold medal at the competition, maintaining his perfect record after four legs in Oberstdorf in an event that is part of the International Ski Federation Cross-Country World Cup. 

The Norwegian is still on track to become the first skier to ever finish the Tour undefeated, with three legs still to come in Val di Fiemme, ending his two-day stint in Germany's Allgäu Alps with two wins.

in the men's 20-kilometres pursuit, he led out compatriots Simen Hegstad Krüger and Didrik Tønseth.

Krüger looked like Klæbo's greatest threat throughout having started quickest before picking up again near the end.

He tired into the finish, losing out to the undefeated Klæbo who crossed the line in 41min 35.8sec.

Krüger's struggle to the line saw him place eighth, four seconds behind the winner.

Their compatriot Sindre Bjørnestad Skar had the fastest of finishes, reeling in the winner by more than five seconds to move from 21st to second over the last two miles.

Skar was 1.8 seconds behind Klæbo, narrowly doing enough to pip Italian Federico Pellegrino to the silver by 0.3.

Sweden's Calle Halfvarsson had another top five finish in fourth-place, just ahead of Norwegians Sjur Røthe and Pål Golberg.

William Poromaa of Sweden finished level on time with Krüger, but took seventh on virtue of being faster today.

Due to the quicker skiers yesterday being given a time advantage today, Klæbo's lead has come down despite his victory, with Pellegrino just 12 seconds off him now.

Golberg is just two seconds further back; with Skar and Krüger 32 seconds adrift from the top.

In the women's 20km pursuit, Frida Karlsson was in a league of her own, capping off yesterday's 10km victory with gold again.

Crossing the line in 48:02.6, Karlsson was the third-quickest in the field, but crucially faster than a lot of her fellow skiers.

The only skier to come close to the Swede was yesterday's runner-up, Krista Pärmäkoski of Finland, who was two seconds quicker on the course, making her 14 seconds off the winner.

Tiril Udnes Weng of Norway, leader of the Tour de Ski two days ago, was far off the top two - claiming bronze, being 88 seconds behind Karlsson.

Anne Kjersti Kalvå, also from Norway, was just a second being Weng in fourth, with Latvian under-23 Patricija Eiduka pipping Teresa Stadlober of Austria by 0.1 seconds for fifth.

In the overall standings, Karlsson has 1:28 over Weng, with Kalvå third, three seconds further back.

The Tour de Ski is due to continue at Italian resort Val di Fiemme on Friday (January 6) and conclude on Sunday (January 8).
