International Federation of Teqball (FITEQ) ambassador Ronaldinho has said that he "could say so many good things" about the sport.

The retired Brazilian footballer, who starred when his country last won the FIFA World Cup in 2002 and captained them to bronze at the Beijing 2008 Olympics, became a teqball ambassador in 2019.

He has attended several FITEQ events, including the 2019 World Championships and last year's European Teqball Tour event in Budapest.

In a promotional video published by Eurosport, the now 42-year-old talked up the sport and its Olympic ambitions.

"I could say so many good things about teqball," Ronaldinho said.

"I love it.

"It's fun to play, it's fun to compete, and it's growing so much."

Teqball was invented in Hungary, and is played on a curved table combining elements of football and table tennis.

FITEQ, which was established as its governing body in 2017, holds ambitions for eventual inclusion at the Olympics.

However, teqball was not among the nine sports shortlisted for additional places at Los Angeles 2028, and FITEQ's pursuit of International Olympic Committee recognition remains ongoing.

It is claimed by FITEQ that teqball is the world's fastest growing sport.
