Personal messages are set to be engraved in a pathway of stones at the main site of the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics.

The London Legacy Development Corporation, the British Olympic Association and British Paralympic Association are offering fans the chance to buy a personalised engraved stone on Champions Place at London Stadium in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

People are being asked to mark their personal connection to the park by purchasing a stone with a personalised message that will be set at Champions Place.

It is hoped that the stones will allow fans to create a lasting tribute after the Games were staged at the park a decade ago.

"The engraved stones make a unique gift idea for those wanting to mark a celebration, commemorate a loved one, or cherish a memory of a special moment or time at the park," a statement from the London Legacy Development Corporation read.

The engraved stones include a name and personalised message with prices starting from £65 ($79/€75).

A replica stone is also available to purchase to be kept at home with the option to buy an official certificate.
