The Beijing 2022 Olympic champion took the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) Alpine Ski World Cup super-G gold in 1 min 20.75sec.

Austrian Cornelia Huetter missed out on the title by 0.02sec and settled for silver.

The bronze medal went to Norway’s Ragnhild Mowinckel, who clocked 1:20.91.

"You have to go and find your limit," said Suter.

"I think this season will be a very, very tight season.

"There are so many girls who are skiing so fast and can win.

"You have to push in each race.

"I just try to ski my best.

"I knew it was a very good course that I liked after inspection.

"I was thinking it was faster and I just tried to do my best.

"It was a tight race again but today I was the lucky one."

With the win, Suter now has five World Cup victories.

Mirjam Puchner of Austria missed the podium by 0.26sec.

Italian Sofia Goggia, who impressed in the downhill races, finished fifth in 1:21.11.
