Olympic champion Yang Haoran led another positive day for China at the World Shooting Championships in Cairo after coming out on top in the 10 metres air rifle mixed team event with Huang Yuting.

Yang, who claimed the event's gold medal at Tokyo 2020 with Yang Qian, and Huang dwarfed the shooting skills of South Korean duo Gwon Dayeong and Kim Sang-do in the final.

The Chinese pair won the match 16-6.

Zhang Yu and Sheng Lihao ensured China also took bronze following successes over French Olympians Océanne Muller and Alexis Raynaud.

It was a closer encounter, with Zhang and Sheng winning marginally 17-15.

South Korea also turned out second-best in the 10m air pistol mixed team discipline.

Yoo Hyun-young and Park Dae-hun fell to the same scoreline as their compatriots against Austrians Sylvia Steiner and Richard Zechmeister.

There was some more bronze medal success for China as Jiang Ranxin and Zhang Bowen defeat compatriots 16-6.

In the junior events, China maintained title-winning performances.

Li Rui, Hou Min and Pang Yuqian combined to beat Swiss trio Marta Szabo Bouza, Gina Gyger and Jennifer Kocher in the women's 50m rifle three positions before Pang Yuqian and Du Linshu outmatched Norwegians Martine Sve and Jens Oestli in the 50m rifle three positions mixed team.
