In the iconic setting of the Carreau du Temple in the centre of the French capital, Vienna won all five games over the two-day competition before the 10-minute limit.

In today’s knockout rounds the third seeds defeated the two top ranked teams in the world before winning the final against the other outstanding team in Paris, number eight seeds Utrecht, 21-13, who were competing in a title game for the first time on the World Tour.

Vienna’s former number one player in the world Stefan Stojacic was named the event's Most Valuable Player after leading the scoring charts in Paris with 50 points.

It was the first time a player had reached 50 points on the World Tour in six years and ranked as the third best scoring feat in World Tour history.

Stojacic was top scorer in the final with nine points, one more than team-mate Quincy Diggs.

Utrecht’s star man Worthy de Jong contributed eight points in the losing effort having also excelled on the opening day, during which the Dutch team beat the world ranked number one side Ub Huishan NE of Serbia 18-17.

De Jong recorded a triple-five - at least five points, five rebounds and five highlights - in each one of his first three games and ranked number one in player value on the weekend.

In the individual contests, the current number one 3x3 player in the world Strahinja Stojacic - Stefan’s younger brother - took home the Maurice Lacroix Shoot-out Contest, while Polish dunk legend Rafal 'Lipek' Lipinski won the Wilson Dunk Contest.

The ninth stage in the FIBA 3x3 World Tour involved 14 teams, of whom six were in the top 13 of the world rankings.

The line-up consisted of Ub Huishan NE, Liman Huishan NE, Vienna, Princeton, Jeddah, Paris, NY Harlem, Utrecht, Danube, Prebold, Bjelovar, Doha OSC, Athens and Cacak Huishan NE.

The action was able to be followed live on the FIBA 3x3 YouTube, Facebook, Sina, Weibo and Douyin pages, while the event also had its own TikTok channel.
