Serbian Marko Roksic led his country to glory at the eFootball 2023 European Championship after defeating Turkey’s Muchahit Sevimli in the final at Bemax Arena in Podgorica in Montenegro.

Roksic overcame his opponent 3-1 to win the title and secure his spot at the 2022 World Esports Championships in Bali.

David Garevski of North Macedonia and Orel Daniel, representing Israel, both finished with a bronze each.

The tournament boasted 26 players from 26 countries and a $5,000 (£4,300/€5,000) prize pool.

"I am proud and thankful to all of the players that participated in our final European Esports Championships event this year in Podgorica," said Ido Brosh, President of European Esports Federation (EEF).

"This event was special not only because it was the first live eFootball event by EEF but also because of the amazing plays and special moments our players created.

Each title winner will book their place at the World Esports Championships, scheduled between December 1 and 12 in Bali, Indonesia.
