The Netherlands won both their games today ©IWAS Powerchair Hockey World Championship 2022 Sursee

The Netherlands were on a different level as they scored 52 goals in two games at the International Wheelchair and Amputee Sports Federation (IWAS) Powerchair Hockey World Championship today.

Improving on their win against Italy yesterday, they swept aside Canada 31-1 in the first fixture.

They also scored 21 goals to beat Belgium - who did not find the target - and assert their dominance in the tournament.

It was a mixed day for Finland who also had two fixtures at the Stadthalle Sursee in Nottwil.

They went down 8-2 to Denmark in their first match before going on to hammer Spain 10-5.

Hosts Switzerland are improving by the day as they recorded a dominant 12-0 win over Belgium.

Germany, meanwhile, got their first win of the tournament after beating Australia 9-3.  

After three games, the Netherlands are top of group A followed by Switzerland.

Denmark are the leaders of group B with Finland are currently in second spot.

Australia and Belgium have lost all three games they have played so far.
