Martin Ferreiro put Argentina 1-0 up just moments before the end of the first quarter with a fantastic field goal strike.

Los Leones looked in good shape to double their lead but several big saves from Blaak Pirmin kept the Dutch in it and saw them into the half-time break.

Jeroen Delmee's team talk at the midway point clearly worked wonders as the Oranje came out swinging and scored three goals in three minutes courtesy of Jesus De Geus, Steijn van Heijningen, and Koen Bijen.

Argentina were visibly shaken by the quickfire salvo and could not find a way back in to the match.

The result sees the Dutch on 22 points in the standings with six wins, two shoot-out wins, two draws, and zero losses.

They are in fourth place but have played fewer games than India, Germany and Argentina who sit above them.

In yesterday's game, The Netherlands beat the Argentines with a scintillating first half performance, also at HC Union, that helped them see out a 5-2 win.

It was four months since the Dutchmen last played FIH Pro League hockey but there were no signs of rustiness.

Jair van der Horst and Bram van Battum both scored on debut with the former opening the scoring after two minutes and Van Battum making it 3-0 in the second quarter following Jip Janssen's 12^th minute strike.

Bijen and Tjep Hoedemakers then made it 5-0 with 32^nd and 33^rd minute goals before Nicolas Della Torre and Martin Ferreriro pulled two for Argentina but could not inspire a comeback.

"The first quarter was very uncomfortable for us and we made a lot of mistakes," said Della Torre.

"After that, getting back into the game was difficult.

"But, we have come a long way and we want to get a good result for our final match, so we will look to improve tomorrow."

The next matches in the men's division are set to take place on June 4 with England versus The Netherlands and Spain against South Africa.

On the same day, the women's league is also featuring matches between England and The Netherlands and Spain versus China.
