Russia finished the Greco-Roman wrestling slate at the United World Wrestling Under-23 World Championships today with medals in nine of the 10 weight divisions.

With five medals decided on the third day of competition at the Belexpocentar in Belgrade in Serbia, Russia started the day's medal action with a customary gold.

Anvar Allakhiarov defeated Mehdi Mohsen Nejad of Iran 7-1 to claim gold in the 60 kilograms category.

Pridon Abuladze of Georgia and Kerem Kamal of Turkey claimed the bronze medals.

The other Russian gold of the day came in the 97kg division, where Artur Sargsian thrashed Belarus' Pavel Hlinchuk 9-0.

Arvi Martin Savolainen of Finland and Austria's Markus Ragginger won the bronze medals.

Germany's Idriz Ibaev continued his country's storied success in the 72kg category, following hero Frank Staebler.

Ibaev beat Sergei Kutuzov of Russia 3-2 in a narrow final, with Shant Khachatryan of Armenia and Ulvi Ganizade of Azerbaijan claiming the bronze medals.

In the 67kg category, Hasrat Jafarov of Azerbaijan won gold with a 3-2 win over Iran's Mohammad Rezei.

Kadir Kamal of Turkey and Miakhdi Abubakarovitch Iakhiev won bronze.

The fifth gold came in the 82kg division, with Georgia's Aivengo Rikadz claiming the title thanks to a 5-1 win over Ramon Betschart of Switzerland.

Competition continues tomorrow with medals decided in the women's wrestling.
