In a repeat of the 2019 final, Bosnia and Herzegovina took on Russia, with the Russians looking to claim a third successive European crown, after themselves ending Bosnia’s run of nine straight titles in 2017.

Bosnia took the first set by a comfortable margin 25-17 at the Antalya Sports Hall, but were made to battle for the next two, winning them 28-26, 27-25 to secure gold in 67 minutes.

Germany claimed the bronze medal after a 25-22, 21-25, 25-20, 15-25, 15-8 triumph over Ukraine.

In the classification matches, Serbia took fifth place after a 25-21, 16-25, 25-15, 20-25, 16-14 win over Croatia while Poland came from a set down to finish seventh after beating The Netherlands 20-25, 25-21, 25-18, 26-24.

The women’s final was also a replay of the previous edition in 2019, with Russia taking on Italy.

Russia won a third straight title, their fourth in five editions, winning in three sets 25-20, 25-14, 25-19.

They were made to work hard in the third set winning seven straight points from 19-18 down to close out the match.

Germany convincingly won the bronze medal match as they beat Slovenia 25-21, 25-20, 25-21.

In the classification matches, Finland finished fifth after defeating Ukraine 25-11, 20-25, 26-24, 25-15, while Hungary ended the competition seventh after overhauling Poland 25-22, 26-24, 25-20.
