Paris 2024 has signed a sponsorship deal with Sodexo Group to provide catering for the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Sodexo Live! had already won the athlete catering tender and the agreement builds on the existing deal it has with the Organising Committee.

The company joins as an official supporter of the 2024 Olympics and Paralympics in the French capital.

Sodexo Live! is set to serve 40,000 daily meals during the Games, while also providing catering for the general public at 15 Olympic and Paralympic venues.

"I am delighted that the Sodexo Group is joining the Paris 2024 adventure," said Paris 2024 President Tony Estanguet.

"We chose Sodexo Live! for their expertise, which will enable us to provide the athletes with optimal catering services.

"Because for them, the experience of the Games is also about food.

"Eating well is of course essential for performance, but it’s also about the enjoyment of meeting up to enjoy a meal with other athletes.

"We and the Sodexo Group, which is staunchly committed to tackling CSR issues, share the aim of delivering socially and environmentally responsible Games.

"And that goal starts on our plates - through the products we choose and how we recruit catering staff."

Sodexo Group is part of the third tier of Paris 2024's domestic sponsorship portfolio, below the official partner tier and highest premium partner tier, the latter of which includes Groupe BPCEEDF, Sanofi and Orange.

"Sodexo Live! is immensely proud to actively participate in this event, which will be exceptional for Paris and the whole of France," Sodexo Live! chief executive Nathalie Bellon-Szabo added.

"All of the teams at Sodexo Live! are now working hard to prepare a unique and unforgettable experience for the Olympic and Paralympic athletes."
