In the women's draw, Ukraine got off to a perfect start after winning both of its games 3-0 against Hungary and The Netherlands.

The Dutch team, on the other hand, could not have hoped for worse as they also suffered a resounding 25-7, 25-11, 25-5 loss to Italy.
