Azerbaijan's Adil Adilzade and Gor Harutyunyan were both awarded bronze medals after losing in the semi-final bouts.

Ilya Zatylkin of Russia and Uzbekistan's Musokhon Ziyadinov were victorious in the 79kg and 71kg tournaments respectively.

More Russian success followed in the women's juniors with Ekaterina Tsybert reigning supreme in the 59kg tournament and Evgenia Chiresh defeating Bulgarian Anna-Mariya Manusheva in the 65kg final.

Nataiia Chystiakova prevented a Russian clean sweep as she stifled Ekaterina Doroshenko in the 72kg gold medal match.

In the men's youth division, Russians Kirill Kniazkov and Vladislav Onishchenko were victorious in the under-98kg and over-98kg categories.

Elena Allenova claimed another win in the youth women's under-80kg against the Belarusian Palina Hramatneva while Kazakhstan's Aide Toishibekova won her country's only gold medal of the day in the over-80kg event.

Uzbekistan's six gold, three silver and eight bronze medals were enough to secure second place overall ahead of Ukraine with two golds, six silvers and 11 bronze medals.
