The World DanceSport Federation (WDSF) is holding a series of three workshops to provide information athletes in the build-up to breaking’s Olympic debut at Paris 2024.

Six expert lecturers are leading the sessions at the "Breaking Congress", which began on Tuesday (June 15).

Lecturers Storm from Germany and Renegade from Britain discussed the topic "What judges look for in a Trivium Judging System".

The second session was held yesterday.

American lecturer Nemesis discussed "The Historic Context of Moves and Order of Progression" during the first part of the workshop.

Focus, the lecturer from Finland, presented on "Qualifying at High Lever Events".

The third and final session will take place tomorrow.

Roxy will open the workshop. with the British lecturer presenting on "Battling at a High Level as a B-girl".

American lecturer Kareem will then present on "How to Structure High Level Rounds".

“Organising successful Breaking battles at the Olympic Games remains our top priority," said Shawn Tay, WDSF President.

"And to do so will require excellent teamwork between the WDSF and the breaking community, so we hope all breakers, inside and outside of the WDSF."

The Congress has been billed as an opportunity for breaking communities to strengthen ties with WDSF national bodies.

Breaking was confirmed on the Paris 2024 programme in December.

Breaking competition at Paris 2024 will feature 16 male and female athletes, known as b-boys and b-girls.

Athletes will compete in one against one "battles".
