Chengdu 2021 sponsor Sichuan Airlines has unveiled another plane which has been decked out in livery dedicated to the Summer World University Games.

The Airbus A319 jet features the emblem for the Games and panda mascot Rongbao.

Thirteen different colours were used for the design, with artists using spray paint on the plane's fuselage.

Sichuan Airlines has now pledged to decorate the inside of the plane with a Chengdu 2021 theme as well.

Passengers on board will then be able to experience a "World University Games flight experience".

In January, another Chengdu 2021 plane designed by Sichuan Airlines was the first to land at Tianfu International Airport as it began to welcome test flights.

Tianfu is due to open this year and will be the second international airport in Chengdu, where Sichuan Airlines is headquartered.

Last week, the International University Sports Federation confirmed new dates for Chengdu 2021 after the event in the Chinese city was pushed into next year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The action is now planned to take place between June 26 and July 7, with the dates avoiding the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham and the World Athletics Championships in Oregon.

Eighteen sports are on the programme for the Games, which will be the third in China after the Summer Universiades in Beijing and Shenzhen in 2001 and 2011.
