The Breaking Division is billed by the WDSF as being "responsible for the vision, direction and overall organisation of the Olympic project".

Athletes from five countries have been added to the panel.

"Aslan" from Russia, "Bojin" from Chinese Taipei, Portugal's "Max", "Moy" from the United States and South Korean "Skim" have all joined the Breaking Division.

"The need for people within the breaking community to be solidly represented in the Olympic project, from qualifiers all the way through to Paris 2024, is absolutely essential," said b-boy Max.

"I am stoked to get started and to work with a great team of breakers that the WDSF is assembling.

"Together we will make sure that all WDSF breaking events will be world-class, authentic and something everyone will want to be part of."

It is hoped the Breaking Division can increase collaboration between the WDSF, National Federations and athletes.

"This is a positive new development in the breaking world in that it will give a greater voice to b-boys and b-girls around the world in the direction and supervision of breaking, while also strengthening the relationships between them and their national member bodies," said WDSF President Shawn Tay.

"For Paris 2024 to be a success it will take a real team effort, and the WDSF wants to be as inclusive as possible in the lead-up to and planning of the Games."

Moy - real name Moises Rivas - was already a member of the WDSF Athletes' Commission.

The WDSF expects to announce more additions to the Breaking Division in the near future.

Breaking is on the Olympic programme for the first time at Paris 2024, having appeared at the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires in 2018.
