The International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) has confirmed that a second Blind Football World Grand Prix will take place in Japan after the success of this year’s competition.

It is due to take place from March 19 to 24 at the Shinagawa-ku Tenno Park in Tokyo.

The competition will feature eight teams, including hosts Japan.

The World Grand Prix will be held in Japan until at least 2020, giving the world’s top teams the chance to prepare for the Paralympic Games.

The IBSA will also use the event to further promote blind football within Japan, Asia and across the world after the 2018 World Grand Prix gained substantial attention.

Argentina were this year's eventual winners after they beat England on penalties in the final.
