Qualification points for next month's Winter Olympic Games in Pyeongchang will be on offer for the final time at the penultimate International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation World Cup in St Moritz.

Following the conclusion of the event in the Swiss city on Sunday (January 14), the competing countries and athlete quotas for Pyeongchang 2018 will be decided.

The World Cup begins tomorrow with the women's skeleton event, where Germany's Jacqueline Lölling will bid to extend her overall advantage.

Lölling, the reigning world champion, currently has a total of 1,227 points at the summit of the leaderboard.

Canada's Elisabeth Vathje is the German's closest challenger as she sits on 1,188 in second place, while Lölling's compatriot Tina Hermann is third on 1,084.

In the men's skeleton, due to be held tomorrow, Yun Sung-Bin of South Korea remains the one to beat.

Yun is on course to wrap up the overall title, which would represent a significant boost to his preparations for competing at his home Olympic Games next month, as he has 1,320 points.

The South Korean will aim to secure a fifth win of the season when he competes in St Moritz.

Latvian brothers Martins and Tomass Dukurs are second and third in the race for the World Cup crown as they have 1,230 and 1,104 points respectively.

Canada will be looking to maintain their bobsleigh dominance in the women's and men's two-person events as athletes from the country lead the standings in each discipline.

Olympic champion Kaillie Humphries tops the women's leaderboard on 1,269 points, while Justin Kripps is in pole position in the men's event on 1,239 points.
