BMW supported the first meet which took place last weekend between Friday and Sunday (March 3 and 5).

It has now been confirmed they will be back next year in the Chinese capital for the same event.

The company has been named as the official presenting sponsor of the series, providing cars to the organisers and other delegates.

"We are very grateful for BMW's commitment to the sport of diving in China," said FINA executive director Cornel Marculescu.

"China has historically been one of the best nations in the sport and has been the dominant force for many years now.

"Chinese divers represent excellence in this discipline, just as BMW symbolises excellence in the car industry.

"We are extremely happy to have landed this groundbreaking deal which undeniably add more value to this top-notch annual event."

China won nine of the 10 titles on offer in Beijing with Great Britain's Jack Laugher preventing a clean sweep by triumphing in the men's three metres springboard.

Chinese dominance was evident yesterday when double Olympic gold medallist Chen Aisen won one of the hosts' three titles on the day.

In the women's 10m platform, 2013 world champion Si Yajie was victorious while Lian Jie and Lian Junjie took top honours in the mixed 10m platform synchronised event. 

The next stop on the FINA Diving World Series tour is due to be another Chinese city, Guangzhou, where action is due to take start on Thursday (March 9) and last until Saturday (March 11).

Competition is then scheduled to move to Kazan in Russia between March 31 and April 2 before the series concludes in Windsor in Canada between April 21 and 23.
