Tickets have gone on sale for the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) Para-Table Tennis European Championships in Vejle, Denmark.

The tournament will take place between October 12 and 17 and more than 30 European countries are set to be represented in the brand new Spektrum arena.

In all, 12 tables will be set up for the Championships.

One man to watch in the men's singles will be three-time Paralympic medallist and defending European champion Peter Rosenmeier, who will be flying the flag for host nation Denmark.

"It will be a very special thing for sure, and I’m very excited about it,” he said.

“I am confident that the Danes will come out in force to show their support, and for me that might make the difference in the toughest matches.”

As part of the event, organisers will also attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the longest table tennis match with more than 500 players participating over the course of seven days.

The areas surrounding Spektrum will feature many activities and exhibits displaying the world of Para-sport in Denmark.

"We really think that all the conditions are in place for us to be able to offer a fun and exciting event for people of all ages," said Mette Holstein Arnesen, event director from the Danish Sports Organisation for the Disabled.

“Our goal is to make this the best European Championship ever, and we really cannot wait for the doors to open on October 12."
