We are pleased to announce a new section to insidethegames – our new venues section, sponsored by GE, a Worldwide Olympic Partner.

With interactive maps and information and descriptions about all the London 2012 venues, you can see at a glance where everything is taking place, where the venues are in relation to each other and full statistics about each venue.

Created by our web administrator Alex Crawford, from an idea by our editor Duncan Mackay, researched and written by our reporter David Gold, the section is a tribute to the attention to detail insidethegames is known for.

"We are thrilled that Worldwide Olympic Partner GE wanted to form a partnership with us to create this brand new section on insidethegames," said Sarah Bowron, Managing and Commercial Director of insidethegames.

Simon Langford, GE's Communications Director for London 2012 commented "We're proud to partner with insidethegames to help establish a new section to their excellent coverage of the approaching London 2012. GE will have products and solutions in all venues for the Games, and this is a great way of highlighting the advanced energy systems, high tech lighting, uninterruptible power supplies, state of the art healthcare imaging equipment and electric car charging points that we provide to London and host cities around the world".

insidethegames is widely recognised as the No.1 Olympic news website in the world. We cover the business, politics and bid process behind the Olympic and Paralympic Movement.
